I agree with most of it. There’s nothing warmer there in winter as wool. And I love hand-knitted wool socks because they do not smell so quickly.
In sportswear, I haven’t yet any experience with merino. But I have noticed that most Hitec- fibres smell very quickly unpleasant. Therefore in sport, I prefer natural materials such as cotton.
