WIEDIKON

Over the past few years, Wiedikon has increasingly become a hipster district in Zurich: sidecut, full beard, flannel shirt, horn-rimmed glasses, skinny jeans, canvas bag - and knitted beanie.

Wiedikon is a simple beanie for hipsters - with that certain something. The hat is knitted in a rib pattern. The brim is folded over and gives nice warmth.

The hat is knitted top-down. Starting at the crown, working increases to the desired width. The elastic bind-off gives a professional finish.

The pattern is written for a DK-weight yarn. However, you can also use a sport-weight held together with a Kidsilk yarn for a fluffy hat. Or use two sock-weight yarns held together. There are endless possibilities.
