As soon as I’ve seen this pattern, I’ve known that I have to knit it. The pattern is part of a booklet full of lace patterns called “Laceträume“. The booklet has different patterns for cowls, shawls, wristwarmers and shrugs. I like the patterns, but I would prefer if they would show more pictures of the patterns. Sometimes it’s hard to see e.g. the shape or the measurements of the pieces unless you open the huge chartsheet with all the charts of every pattern.
To do justice for all this lace work I want to choose the right yarn and the right color. Although I love grey shades I want to knit in a brighter color. By browsing on the webshop of Wollmeise I found the colorway “Limone/ Lime” available with the yarn quality “Twin”. The yarn is a mix of 80% merino and 20% nylon. This blend is very soft on the skin. As far as I know it’s the only yarn with synthetic fibre I can wear next to my skin. As I’ve heard yellow will be the new pink, I’ve ordered two skeins last Friday and received the yarn on Wednesday. What a fast delivery!
